It provides access to an outstanding cliff-top view of the hills and lakes east of Evans Notch, in an area where few White Mountain Hikers venture. The cairns and markings can be confusing on the summit. The Caribou-Speckled Mountain Wilderness is arguably the best-kept secret in the White Mountain National Forest. Once you hit Bickford Brook Trail it’s a 1/2 mile up to Speckled Mountain with great views North & West.
